Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs
- Support children with autism and other disabilities by implementing personalized learning strategies
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students, ensuring they stay engaged and on task
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive, respectful environment
- Support toddlers and young children with daily activities, including play, hygiene, and routine tasks
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure clear understanding of student progress and needs
- Contribute to the planning and execution of educational activities that promote social, emotional, and academic development
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is highly valued
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to adapt methods for diverse learners
- Prior experience working with children, especially in educational or care settings
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for inclusive learning environments
- Ability to care for toddlers and young children with patience and compassion
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, students, and families
