Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Paint Sprayer who will also be responsible for preparing timber windows and components prior to finishing. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in detail, works efficiently, and maintains high standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Spray Finishing
- Spray paint sash windows, frames, and associated joinery to a high standard
- Mix, prepare, and strain paints and primers correctly
- Set up, clean, and maintain spray equipment
- Ensure consistent finish quality and correct paint thickness
- Follow health & safety procedures for spraying and workshop ventilation
Preparation Work
- Sand, fill, and prime timber windows and components
- Repair minor surface defects prior to spraying
- Mask and protect glass and hardware
- Inspect surfaces to ensure they meet finishing standards
- Work collaboratively with joiners and installers to meet deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience as a paint sprayer (ideally in joinery, furniture, or window finishing)
- Strong preparation skills (sanding, filling, priming)
- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality finishes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience with sash windows or heritage joinery
- Knowledge of water-based and oil-based coating systems
- Workshop experience
