This is a long-term opportunity with consistent 10-hour shifts, delivering food products to restaurants and hospitality venues.
Please note: this is a physically demanding role involving heavy manual handling and handball deliveries.
Job Details

- Position: HGV Class 2 Driver
- Pay: £16.92 per hour PAYE
- Holiday Pay: £18.96 per hour including rolled-up holiday pay

- Shift Pattern: 4 days out of 7
- Rota: 8-week rotating rota, including weekends
- Start Times: 14:30–16:30
- Shift Length: Approximately 10 hours

The Role
You will be delivering food products to restaurants, hospitality venues and commercial customers across the local area.
Your duties will include:
- Completing 8–12 multi-drop deliveries per shift
- Delivering food products to restaurants and hospitality customers
- Carrying out heavy manual handling and handball deliveries
- Moving cages and goods safely
- Driving vehicles ranging from 7.5T up to 26T
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Following company procedures and health & safety requirements
- Providing professional customer service at delivery locations
Shift Pattern
This role operates on a 4 days out of 7 rotating shift pattern across an 8-week rota.
- Start times between 14:30 and 16:30
- Approximately 10-hour shifts
- Weekend work included
- Rotating days off
Requirements
- Minimum 24 months' HGV Class 2 driving experience
- Valid Category C (Class 2) licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy manual handling and handball
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional and safety-conscious
- Good time management skills
- Good customer service skills
