Norman Ferns Moving & Storage Ltd is a third-generation family-run removals and storage company based in Leek, Staffordshire. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and customer-focused driver to join our friendly team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and is looking to develop a long-term career within the transport industry, with the possibility of HGV training and progression for the right candidate.
Requirements
- Applicants must meet our fleet insurance requirements.
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Experience driving Luton vans would be advantageous.
- Previous removals experience is desirable but not essential.
- Good level of physical fitness and a positive attitude.
- Friendly and professional manner with customers.
- Willingness to undertake HGV training and progress within the company.
Duties
- Driving company Luton vans.
- Household and commercial removals throughout the UK.
- Loading and unloading furniture with care.
- Packing and protecting customers' belongings.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Working as part of a small, experienced team.
Pay & Hours
- £13.00–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week.
- Current staff in this role average around 35 hours per week, although hours will vary with workload.
- Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work.
