Overview
We are looking for a trainee fitter to join our vibrant team at The Thomas Group. The successful candidate will be tasked with assisting onsite with installing worktop products in both construction and residential environments. This position demands attention to detail, the ability to physically handle heavier product, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with team members. As a fitters mate, you will be integral in ensuring our products uphold the highest standards of quality and performance.
In this role, you will fit and assemble masonry items such as worktops, vanity units, bars, and internal cladding, while also maintaining and auditing tools for the van. You will have the opportunity to enhance your installation skills and work closely with the team on tasks like leveling, sealing, siliconing and learning bits of masonry skills. It is essential to maintain a clean and safe workspace, complying with all health and safety regulations.
Candidates should be neat in their work approach, skilled in simple tasks such as siliconing etc, able to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices, with strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to get the job done.
