Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £27,091 to £27,759 per annum. Plus generous benefits, including:
- 45 days annual leave per year pro rata (including bank holidays and efficiency closures)

About the role
As a Funding Officer you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality financial support services to students and apprentices.
You will provide comprehensive and up-to-date information, advice and guidance on student funding, assess funding applications and maintain the student funding service and related systems.
You will oversee funding schemes including bursaries and hardship funds, ensuring that all processes meet strict audit and compliance standards.
Alongside day-to-day operations, you’ll contribute to financial planning, data reporting, and service improvements, while offering practical advice and guidance to students navigating financial support.
About the person
We are looking for an organised and approachable professional with experience of supporting learners in an FE environment and managing financial processes.
You’ll have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with empathy, and build strong partnerships both internally and externally.
A confident user of IT and data and reporting tools, you will be proactive in problem-solving and service development. You will have strong literacy and numeracy skills with, ideally, an understanding of the current government guidelines around student funding across differing levels and age ranges within our student body.
You will also ideally have some previous experience of student funding and working within a student support environment.
