Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and dynamic Area Coordinator to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to support our Lead Support Worker in delivering a service transformation programme within a self-contained apartment complex supporting 14 tenants.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about person-centred care, leading teams through change, and driving improvements that have a lasting impact on the lives of the people we support.
About the Role
As an Area Coordinator, you will play a key role in embedding best practice, strengthening team culture, and supporting the successful delivery of a change management programme. You will work closely with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure high-quality, person-centred support is consistently delivered.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring flexibility, initiative, and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Embed and promote best practice across all areas of service delivery.
- Develop and implement positive, person-centred action plans for each individual we support.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with support staff, families, and external professionals.
- Support and guide staff through periods of change, ensuring consistency, confidence, and high-quality practice.
- Assist with operational responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the service.
- Work flexibly across shifts, including weekends, and participate in the on-call rota.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous leadership or management experience within health and social care.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop others.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work independently, using initiative to solve problems and drive improvements.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and deliver against clear project plans.
- A passion for person-centred support, continuous improvement, and achieving positive outcomes.
