Position: Plumber
Location: Council Offices, Southfield Road, Loughborough, LE11 2TX

Contract Duration: 3+ Months - This position is Monday - Thursday 8am -4pm & Fridays 8am -3.30pm
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive plumbing repairs and maintenance in council tenanted properties
- Diagnose plumbing faults and complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard
- Undertake a range of plumbing maintenance tasks, ensuring work is safe and compliant with relevant standards
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service to tenants
- Complete work to a high-quality finish, taking pride in workmanship
- Work effectively as part of the repairs and maintenance team
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and report any further issues identified
- Follow health and safety procedures, council policies and safe working practices
- Respond to repair requests and complete work within required timescales
- Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and appropriate condition
Person Specification
Essential
- Standard plumbing qualification or substantial practical plumbing experience
- Strong practical plumbing and maintenance skills
- Experience carrying out reactive repairs, preferably within residential or social housing properties
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- High standard of workmanship with strong attention to detail
- Customer-focused approach and professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Reliable, punctual and able to manage a daily workload effectively
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Able to provide a CV and complete a Confidentiality Agreement
