We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Health Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our compassionate team. Duties
- Deliver personalized care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, always respecting individual preferences and needs
- Supervise and mentor junior support workers, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to care standards and protocols
- Develop, review, and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to meet each resident’s unique requirements
- Promote effective communication with residents, families, and team members to ensure everyone is informed and involved in care decisions
- Support residents with medication management under supervision, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, incidents, and progress notes using IT systems for seamless record-keeping
- Assist with the safe transportation of residents using company vehicles when required, demonstrating strong driving skills
Skills
- Proven experience working in a care home or senior care environment with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide support staff effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact empathetically with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Competence in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
- Valid driving license with experience in safe vehicle operation for resident transportation
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, health & safety standards, and regulatory compliance
