This is an exciting opportunity to join a closely knit team operating a recovered paper yard for our client at a large paper mill in Partington. We currently have two shift patterns available, please confirm in your application which position you are interested in.
- Monday to Friday nights 1800>0400 - £16.98 / hour
- 4 on 4 off nights 1800>0600 - £17.16 / hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Shunting Duties: Efficiently move and position trailers on-site.
- Curtains Management: Open and close curtains as needed.
- Driving Responsibilities: Adhere to current health and safety rules and practices for unloading and loading trailers.
- Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading activities.
- Rachet, Strap, and Corner Management: Secure loads appropriately.
- Customer Interaction: Work closely with on-site customers and forklift drivers.
- Trailer Inspection: Monitor and check supplied trailers for defects before loading.
- Loading Bays: Navigate and operate within four separate loading bays.
Requirements:
- Licence: A full UK C+E licence (LGV/HGV Class 1)
- Experience: Minimum 6 months of previous Class 1 experience.
- Shunting Experience: Previous shunting experience is desirable.
- Physical Fitness: This role involves physical demands; applicants should consider this when applying.
