This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Property Services team in a hands-on role delivering high-quality repairs, maintenance and installations across the North West on a fixed term 12 month contract / secondment.
About the Plumber Role
As a Plumber at Progress Housing Group, you’ll carry out a wide range of reactive repairs, planned plumbing maintenance, and installation work in customers’ homes and properties.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll be trusted to deliver work to a high standard, solve problems efficiently and provide a great service to customers.
You’ll mainly work across the North West, with the benefit of a company van for business use that you can take home, helping to reduce travel costs and make your working day easier.

What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
-
Carry out reactive plumbing repairs and planned maintenance work
-
Install, replace and repair sanitary ware, pipework and drainage systems
-
Service plumbing systems and diagnose faults effectively
-
Support bathroom and kitchen refurbishment projects
-
Work safely and professionally in occupied homes and other properties
-
Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers

Take part in the on-call rota (approximately 1 week in 10)
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this Plumber position, you’ll need:

A full UK driving licence

A recognised trade qualification such as NVQ / SVQ / City & Guilds.

Strong knowledge of a wide range of plumbing maintenance and installation work

Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices

Experience working in a customer-focused environment

The ability to work independently and as part of a team
