Job Description
As the Food & Beverage Assistant Manager, you will support the Food & Beverage Manager with the day-to-day running of the restaurant, bar, and event service areas, ensuring guests receive a warm welcome and excellent customer service. You will lead by example, supervise the front of house team, and help maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Food & Beverage Manager with the daily operation of all front of house areas.
- Supervise, motivate, and support the front of house team during shifts.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve guest enquiries or complaints professionally.
- Ensure the restaurant, bar, and function areas are set up and presented to a high standard.
- Monitor service standards and ensure company procedures are followed.
- Help manage staffing levels and support rota planning when required.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in line with company policies.
- Carry out cash handling and end-of-shift procedures where required.
- Work closely with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth service.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.
- Be available to work evenings, weekends, public holidays and bank holidays as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a food and beverage supervisory or team leader role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Flexible, reliable, and committed to delivering high standards
Pay: £13.55-£14.05 per hour
