Reporting to the Director of Governance, the Head of Business Management and Governance will manage the Governance function and have a broad remit in ensuring the corporate governance framework and processes of the organisation, are effective and well run.

The post holder will be responsible for leading the operational running of Corporate Governance and Business functions of the Integrated Care Board (ICB), ensuring the organisation operates to the highest standards of probity, transparency, and accountability.
The post holder will establish, embed, and maintain the highest levels of corporate governance across the organisation and act as an expert advisor to the Director of Corporate Governance, Executive Team, and Board of Directors. The role ensures that all corporate affairs are undertaken in accordance with statutory and legislative requirements, national guidance, and the applicable regulatory framework.
The post holder will act as the Data Protection Officer for the ICB. Specialist professional knowledge qualifications and experience are required to undertake this role. This will sometimes include distressing circumstances and requires excellent experience of managing and communicating complex information with the public.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the Health & Safety agenda is delivered across the ICB and act as the ICB competent person.
