Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is looking for 2 enthusiastic professionals to join its busy Planning Development Team:
x1 as a maternity cover replacement for up to one year
x1 as a fixed term role for 2 years
You will be responsible for dealing with a caseload of interesting and complex planning applications and responding to pre-application enquiries in relation to proposed development queries.
You will need a minimum of two years Planning Development experience to include appeals experience, attendance at committee and experience of managing complex applications. You will need to be extremely organised, able to take responsibility for your own work and at the same time contribute to the overall team performance.
Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills are essential as is the ability to deliver high quality advice in a timely manner and efficiently manage a caseload of applications. Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, planning policy and guidance are also required.

Based at the Civic Offices in Basingstoke, near to the Top of Town, you would report directly to the Assistant Planning Manager.
