.To ensure that industrial machinery and equipment runs, safely, smoothly and reliably,
.Plan and carry out routine scheduled maintenance work as directed
· Respond with urgency to all breakdowns and diagnosing breakdown problems
· Adhere to all Environmental, Health and Safety policies, procedures and regulations
· Fit new parts and ensure equipment is working efficiently and safely
· Escalate machine breakdowns to appropriate managers if not resolved within agreed timescales
· Make recommendations to reduce machine downtime and improve process performance
· Assist with the installation of new equipment as required
· Maintain general housekeeping and safe working area
.Managing engineering and technical staff.
. Obtaining specialist components, fixtures and fittings
. Managing stocks of supplies and equipment
. On call work will be required on occasions
. PLC awareness and knowledge are an advantage but not essential
