Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team, providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and well-being according to personalised care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a respectful and caring environment
- Administer medication as prescribed, following strict protocols and documentation procedures
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with organisational policies
- Support clients with light domestic tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Driving experience and a valid driving licence are advantageous for roles involving transportation of clients
- Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, and basic IT systems is beneficial
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for building rapport with clients and team members
- Empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills are fundamental qualities for success in this role
