Are you an experienced Light Vehicle Technician with a passion for developing others?
We are seeking a Trainer in Automotive Apprenticeships to deliver high-quality training and support apprentices in building the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in the industry. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification (or above) in a relevant automotive discipline, or equivalent industry experience, along with up-to-date knowledge and a passion for education and skills development.
Role: Apprenticeship Trainer – Automotive
Salary: £31,200 - £35,880 per annum, plus £7,500 (Industry Sector Payment)
Location: Aylesbury
Contract: Full-time (37 hours per week/52 weeks per year)

As a Apprenticeship Trainer – Automotive, you will:

Plan and deliver high-quality teaching aligned to apprenticeship standards and awarding body requirements
- Maintain up-to-date vocational and industry knowledge
- Monitor apprentice progress and provide meaningful 1:1 coaching and feedback
- Set targets and support learners in developing a growth mindset
- Complete all required administrative tasks, including assessment and internal verification
- Work effectively within agreed timetables and resources

Taking Teaching Further
The College actively engages with the Education & Training Foundation’s Taking Teaching Further scheme to recruit industry professionals to teach within Further Education.
As industry professionals offer our students industry experience and insight we support our unqualified teachers to learn ‘on the job’. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. After completion you can choose to move be onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment.
