Quality Control Manager
LOCATION: Bradford
WORKING HOURS: 7am - 5.15pm, Monday - Thursday. 39 hours

We're looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager to join our manufacturing team in Bradford. This is an opportunity to take ownership of quality across the manufacturing process, ensuring our furniture consistently meets the highest standards.
Working closely with production, design, purchasing and suppliers, you'll play a key role in maintaining quality, reducing defects and driving continuous improvement across the business.
What you'll be doing
- Develop, implement and maintain quality control systems across the manufacturing process.
- Monitor product quality from incoming raw materials through to finished goods and dispatch.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits and root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Work closely with production, design and purchasing teams to improve manufacturing standards and reduce defects.
- Manage customer quality complaints, implementing corrective actions and monitoring their effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards and health and safety regulations.
- Produce quality reports, analyse performance data and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet the required specifications.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, quality and efficiency across the manufacturing operation.
- Support and promote a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement across the wider team.
What we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced quality professional who understands furniture manufacturing and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Manager within furniture manufacturing, woodworking or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes, materials and quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
- Experience implementing quality improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
- Experience with ISO 9001 or other recognised quality management systems would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies would be beneficial.
- A qualification in Quality Management, Manufacturing, Engineering or a related discipline would be desirable.
