We are excited to be recruiting for our luxury retirement village, The Red House, in Ripon.
The village is home to 59 apartments spread across a well-maintained parkland site. Facilities include the Fountains Restaurant, Bar, extensive luxurious lounge spaces, a gym, and a hair and beauty salon.
We are looking for a part-time Chef to join us who has a passion for cooking, previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen and hold the relevant food safety certificates. You will want to create and deliver an excellent dining experience for our residents. You will be open to new ideas with an innovative approach to cooking whilst always maintaining high standards. You will enjoy mentoring and supporting others and sharing your love of food with residents and Team Members alike.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Creating, preparing and delivering a varied and nutritional menu in line with dietary needs and preferences.
- Managing all mandatory paperwork including: adhering to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies and procedures, budgets, managing orders and deliveries.
- Catering for special events or seasonal activities, such as Black Tie Dinners, Summer Al-Fresco Dining evenings etc.
This is a permanent position working 24 hours per week (Thursday - Sunday lunchtimes) plus additional hours on certain dates or evenings to support our events. This role is an ideal position for those looking for a part-time Chef role during daytime hours.
