We’re looking for a cook/chef to join our bod Newport, Shropshire, Team.
The ideal candidate will have passion and drive, not only to deliver high standards of food but also to help create memorable experiences that make people want to come back for more!
We would prefer that candidates have a 1 years experience in a similar kitchen role, however if you are new to the kitchen? We still want to meet you!
What the role includes:
- Cook and prepare food to brand standards and specifications in order to deliver high standards and quality at all times
- Create and cost food specials to run alongside our brunch menu; ensuring the relevant food special request forms and allergen information is completed.
- Have an understanding of food margins and how to maintain food margin targets
- Ensuring the company's Food Hygiene and Health and safety procedures are followed and that due diligence is successfully implemented through the use of Trail
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness is kept to a high standard at all times
- Food ordering through our suppliers
- Food stock management
The Ideal Candidate will also:
- Have the ability to be self-motivated and confident to work on their own and as part of a team
- Have an understanding of Food Hygiene (Level 2) along with Health and Safety. (More training on this will also be provided through our online training portal CPL)
- Have an understanding of Allergen Awareness. (More training on this will also be provided though our online training portal CPL)
- Be available to work daytimes in the week and weekends
- Have high standards of time keeping and communication skills
- Be able to remain calm in a busy environment
