Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough MOT tests in accordance with legal standards and manufacturer guidelines to assess vehicle safety, emissions, and roadworthiness.
- Perform general vehicle repairs and maintenance, including brake checks, suspension work, exhaust repairs, and lighting diagnostics.
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs, adjustments, and inspections.
- Document all inspection findings, repairs performed, and parts used accurately in company records.
- Communicate clearly with customers about vehicle issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as an MOT Tester or automotive mechanic with a solid understanding of vehicle systems.
- Mechanical knowledge of various vehicle makes and models is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repair work.
- Relevant certifications such as MOT testing license or automotive technician qualifications are highly desirable.
