Maintenance Technician – Student Accommodation

Swift Temps are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance of a busy student accommodation site in East London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of general maintenance tasks across bedrooms, communal areas and the wider property.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general multi-trade maintenance
- Complete minor plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Undertake basic carpentry and decorating
- Repair and maintain fixtures, fittings and furniture
- Complete room inspections and snagging works
- Carry out make-good and remedial works
- Respond to maintenance requests
- Identify and report any larger or specialist repairs
- Support the wider accommodation team with general site upkeep
- Assist with room preparation and turnaround activity when required
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a good standard
- Maintain good housekeeping across work areas
Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience within maintenance, facilities, property or a similar environment
- Good general DIY and multi-trade skills
- Practical, hands-on approach
- Good problem-solving ability
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working within student accommodation
