About the Role
Centenary House Nursing Home is looking for an experienced and compassionate Bank Registered Nurse to join our nursing team on an as-and-when-required basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse who enjoys working with older adults and is committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care in a nursing home environment.
You will work alongside our experienced care and nursing team to ensure residents receive safe, respectful and compassionate care that promotes their dignity, wellbeing and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective and person-centred nursing care to residents.
- Assess, monitor and respond appropriately to residents' changing health needs.
- Administer medication safely in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with care staff, healthcare professionals, residents and their families.
- Support the management of residents with complex and long-term health conditions.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to changes in residents' health and wellbeing.
- Promote dignity, independence, choice and respect at all times.
- Follow infection prevention, safeguarding, health and safety and other relevant procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive environment for residents and colleagues.
- About You
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who:
- Is currently registered with the NMC and has the right to practise in the UK.
- Has previous experience working as a Registered Nurse in a UK care home setting.
- Has experience caring for older adults in a residential or nursing home environment.
- Has a good understanding of person-centred care and the needs of older people.
- Is confident working independently while also being a strong team player.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is compassionate, reliable and committed to delivering high standards of care.
- Is flexible and available to work on an as-and-when-required bank basis.
