JAbout the Role
Join a growing, reputable automotive business servicing everything from fleet vehicles to private customer cars. You’ll diagnose, repair and maintain a broad mix of makes and models, handling both mechanical and electrical work, routine servicing, MOT preparation. .
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, diagnostics and repairs (brakes, suspension, clutches, engines, gearboxes, electrics).
- Perform preventative-maintenance inspections and road-test vehicles to ensure safety and quality.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT.
- Maintain accurate job records and follow all health-and-safety procedures.
- Communicate clearly with the service team and customers.
- Contribute to a clean, organised workshop and attend breakdowns when required.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or Level 2 with strong experience) in Light hands-on mechanic/technician work with proven fault-finding ability.
- Licence: Full UK manual driving licence (max 6 points) and age 21 + for insurance purposes.
- Strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and able to pass standard criminal, financial and employment reference checks.
