Overview
We are seeking a skilled Roofing and Siding Contractor to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in roofing, siding, and general construction, with the ability to interpret schematics and utilise various tools and techniques. Duties
- Install, repair, and replace roofing and siding materials on residential and commercial properties
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and construction plans
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively
- Conduct carpentry tasks such as framing and fitting components as required
- Perform heavy lifting to manoeuvre materials and equipment safely on-site
- Use masonry skills for specialised installation tasks when necessary
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently within designated timelines
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roofing, siding, or general construction work
- Knowledge of schematics, welding, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and fabrication processes is desirable
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Relevant certifications or licences in roofing or construction are advantageous but not essential
