Job Description:
As our Business Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Managing Director and Service Managers with day-to-day activities while providing essential administrative support to various departments. This position offers an exciting opportunity for career progression within a vibrant and progressive organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering the telephone and taking messages.
- Ordering office supplies.
- Provide general administrative support to Senior management team.
- Assisting with financial administration including credit control.
- Assist in the processing and monitoring of online DBS applications and support with the administration of the DBS process within SWIS.
- Provide administrative support for the safer recruitment process and DBS procedures.
- Create and update office databases to reflect SWIS’ compliance with safer recruitment processes.
- Assist with audits of safer recruitment practice and procedures.
- Attend any necessary training to ensure up-to-date knowledge on safer recruitment practices and procedures.
- Assist with collating monthly reports.
- Assist with preparation of presentations, newsletters, and other documentation.
- Maintaining registers, inventories, and trackers.
- Minute taking.
- General document control activities.
- Maintain office diary including meeting rooms.
- Schedule / undertake fire equipment checks & tests when appropriate.
- Organise transport and accommodation.
- Arranging & coordinating events.
- Support & contribute to our sustainability and social value goals.
- Keep safeguarding of the young people we work with as a paramount practice.
- To be responsible for maintaining safe working practices for oneself and young people and to be aware of risk assessment and Health and Safety Guidelines.

Qualifications Needed for this Role:
- GCSEs in Maths and English, Grade C/4 or above.
