Salary: £180 – £230 per day
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Multi Trader who lives in or near Birmingham, wants steady local work, and is keen to grow with a business expanding across the West Midlands and beyond.
You'll be working across a variety of retrofit, refurbishment, repairs, maintenance, and social housing projects, delivering high-quality work in occupied and void properties. You'll play a key role in helping shape what PBG becomes as we continue to grow.
What You'll Be Responsible For
You'll carry out a wide range of planned and reactive works, ensuring all jobs are completed safely, professionally, and to a high standard.
Typical responsibilities include:
- General carpentry repairs and installations
- Basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Patch plastering and making good
- Tiling repairs and replacements
- Painting, decorating, and finishing works
- Door, window, ironmongery, and lock replacements
- Kitchen and bathroom maintenance works
- Basic flooring repairs and installations
- Responsive repairs and snagging activities
- Working within occupied social housing properties
- Ensuring all works comply with health and safety requirements
- Communicating professionally with residents, clients, and site teams
- Completing job sheets, photographs, and work records accurately and on time
- Maintaining company quality and customer service standards at all times
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience as a Multi Trader
- Competency across several trades including carpentry, basic plumbing, decorating, tiling, and general repairs
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Based in Birmingham or the surrounding West Midlands area
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- Experience working within social housing environments
- Experience in occupied properties
- Knowledge of retrofit and energy efficiency programmes
- Relevant trade qualifications
- SSSTS, SMSTS, First Aid or Asbestos Awareness training
