Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout treatment.
- Maintain strict hygiene standards by sterilizing instruments and ensuring the cleanliness of the clinical environment.
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, documenting treatments and updates efficiently.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling correspondence.
- Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions to promote ongoing dental wellness.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times within the practice setting.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily operations smoothly and foster a positive working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar healthcare support role within dentistry.
- Strong patient care skills with an empathetic approach to patient needs.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of nursing principles applied within dental practice settings.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and appointment management.
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment.
- Relevant certification or registration as a Dental Nurse is preferred; however, training opportunities may be available for suitable candidates committed to professional development.
