Please note: this job is hybrid-remote meaning that much of the work is completed flexibly away from site. However, you will need to be in attendance at BN42 4TH at least once a week.

The post holder will play a vital role in As You Are’s service delivery, contributing to the smooth running of the counselling service. As You Are provides affordable counselling to those living in the Sussex county, as well as psychoeducational groupwork where funding allows.
You will be responsible for overseeing the client’s journey: from intake to the service, through to initial assessment, and allocation to an appropriate counsellor. This will involve co-ordinating admin volunteers and counselling assessors to create an accessible and effective pathway into the service for clients.
You will liaise directly with clients and work with our team of qualified counselling assessors to coordinate client assessments, ensuring adherence to GDPR and ensuring that all paperwork and our in house database are kept up to to date. You will also maintain a register of up-to-date training for the assessing team who will support in the delivery of initial assessments.
You will manage the client waiting list – keeping in contact with those waiting for allocation to a counsellor. You will be responsible for identifying safe, ethical and appropriate allocations of clients to counsellors.
You will support the Service Manager with the recruitment and induction of student and qualified counsellors and volunteers, including contributing to the ongoing training and CPD programmes delivered within the service.
This is a fixed term post with opportunity for extension beyond the year.
Pay: £25,156.00 per year
