Job Description
Till Staff
- Operate the till accurately and efficiently.
- Process cash, card, and other customer payments.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service.
- Handle customer queries and direct them to the appropriate team member when required.
- Check prices and ensure transactions are processed correctly.
- Balance and maintain the till in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining the shop floor when required.
- Keep the till area and surrounding areas clean and tidy.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including cash-handling and health and safety requirements.
- Support other shop duties as required.
Shop Floor assistant
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service.
- Assist customers with product enquiries and locating items.
- Operate the till and process cash and card payments accurately.
- Replenish and arrange stock on shelves and displays.
- Check product prices, labels and promotions.
- Keep the shop floor, shelves and checkout area clean and tidy.
- Assist with receiving, checking and putting away deliveries.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or damaged products.
- Ensure products are displayed safely and appropriately.
- Assist with stock rotation and checking expiry dates where required.
- Follow company procedures relating to cash handling, health and safety and customer service.
- Work as part of the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the Cash & Carry Department.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the Manager.
