Are you a passionate early years practitioner with a background in Early Years education? You will support the manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Nursery. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and wants to make a difference in the lives of children while working in a team that works towards educational excellence. About you
· Minimum Level 3 Childcare Qualification
· 2+ years leadership experience in an early year setting at senior level or above
· Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding
· Experience of being part of an Ofsted inspection
As a key leader in our nursery, you’ll:
· Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and happiness of every child, parent, and team member
· Support the delivery of outstanding EYFS practice across all rooms
· Manage medication and care plans with diligence and compassion
· Inspire your team with creativity, consistency, and a positive attitude
· Maintain accurate records using the Famly system
· Step up as a role model, mentor, and motivate your colleagues
· Help drive continuous improvement and prepare for Ofsted inspection
· Support the manager with occupancy and advertising the nursery
· Facilitate show-arounds in the absence of the nursery manager
· Support Nursery Manager in implementing and reviewing and updating Nursery Policies and Procedures
· Be the deputy DSL in the absence of the Nursery Manager
· Manage and allocate key children to staff according to nursery policies and procedures
· Ensure that observations, tracking and formal assessments are completed in a timely manner – and review before posting to parents
· Build open and positive relationships with parents and carers
Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working our nurseries. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process.
