Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pub Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a lively pub environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a solid background in food and beverage service. The Pub Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining smooth operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of quality food and drinks in a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily pub operations, ensuring efficient service and high standards of customer care
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining consistency and quality
- Manage team members, including scheduling, training, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas
- Assist with food production tasks when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Serve drinks and food to customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure availability of ingredients and supplies
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints promptly to maintain satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the pub environment, including bar, kitchen, and dining areas
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies and promote a safe environment for all patrons
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Strong team management capabilities with excellent leadership qualities
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience in restaurant or hotel environments is highly desirable
- Ability to oversee food production processes effectively
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage customers
- Familiarity with hospitality regulations and health & safety procedures
- Previous experience serving in bars or restaurants, including barista experience is advantageous
- Organised with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a lively pub atmosphere
Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
