Job Overview

Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards
- Supervise and support children’s daily routines, including play, meals, rest periods, and hygiene practices
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that adheres to health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, needs, and any concerns
- Lead and manage a team of nursery staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high standards of care
- Monitor and assess children's development, documenting progress and identifying areas for additional support or intervention
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to childcare practices and safeguarding policies
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
- Demonstrated management or leadership skills within a childcare environment
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and external agencies
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Valid childcare qualifications at Level 3 or higher (Nursery Nurse Level 3)
- Experience with childcare management tasks such as planning activities, supervising staff, and maintaining records
- A valid driving license is preferred for roles requiring travel between multiple nursery sites or community engagement activities

Pay: £28,000.00-£37,964.70 per year
