Fundraising Officer Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Fundraising Officer to join our fundraising team and help deliver our ambitious plans for growth.
This is a varied and rewarding role, supporting fundraising activity across community and events fundraising, corporate Charity of the Year partnerships, trusts and grants and project partnerships.
You will play a central role in creating excellent supporter experiences, ensuring every supporter feels valued and connected to the difference they are helping us to make.
You will take ownership of supporter journeys from initial enquiry through to delivery, thanking and recognition and future engagement.
Working closely with the Fundraising Manager you will help implement Dentaid’s fundraising strategy, explore new income streams and strengthen relationships with existing supporters and partners.
Main Duties of the Role
As Fundraising Officer, you will:
- Manage and deliver a range of fundraising activities and supporter journeys from planning through to delivery, thanking and recognition and future engagement.
- Create engaging supporter stewardship journeys across community and events, corporate Charity of the Year partnerships, trusts and grants and project partners.
- Build strong relationships with supporters, responding to enquiries and communicating effectively through a range of channels including email, telephone, mail, online platforms and face to face engagement.
- Ensure supporters receive meaningful stewardship, recognition and opportunities to deepen their involvement with Dentaid.
· Maintain accurate records of supporter engagement and communications using Dentaid’s CRM system Salesforce.
· Work closely with our marketing team to gather patient stories, case studies and metrics to support communications, impact reporting and social media activity.
· Attend networking and industry events and exhibitions to promote Dentaid’s work and identify new opportunities.
· Support Trusts & Grants fundraising by completing smaller grant applications and impact reports.
· Use data and supporter feedback to improve fundraising approaches and contribute to annual planning.
· Work collaboratively across the fundraising team, adapting priorities and supporting different areas of work as needed.
· Build positive relationships with internal teams and follow agreed processes to ensure effective delivery of fundraising activity.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week based onsite at our Totton office (near Southampton). We are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements, including a potential 30-hour week, for the right candidate.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Confidence building relationships with supporters, businesses and external partners.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to support different areas of fundraising as priorities change.

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
