Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Roofer to join our construction team, dedicated to delivering high-quality roofing solutions for a project in tne north east. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Duties
- Read and interpret roofing schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to plan installation or repair procedures
- Install various roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure proper fit and finish
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, performing masonry or carpentry work to create a solid foundation
- Use heavy lifting techniques and equipment to move materials safely around the worksite
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on existing roofs to extend their lifespan
- Collaborate with team members on site safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing installation or repair with a strong understanding of pitched roofing systems and materials
- Skilled in reading schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in outdoor environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail during installation or repair processes
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
