MAH Construction Group is seeking an experienced Construction Contracts Manager to oversee the contractual and commercial management of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
The role involves managing main contracts, subcontract agreements, variations, payment processes, risks and contractual correspondence while working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, negotiate and administer construction contracts and subcontract agreements.
- Manage contracts from tender stage through to completion and final account.
- Identify and manage contractual, commercial and project risks.
- Prepare subcontract orders, contractual notices and formal correspondence.
- Manage variations, claims, extensions of time and payment procedures.
- Monitor project performance against budgets, programmes and contractual obligations.
- Maintain accurate contract records and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and legal advisers.
- Support project teams with disputes, delays, defects and contract compliance.
Experience and Skills
- Proven experience in a Contracts Manager, Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor role.
- Strong knowledge of UK construction contracts, particularly JCT.
- Good understanding of valuations, variations, claims, payments and final accounts.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organisation, communication and attention to detail.
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred.
Pay: £31,785.44-£71,747.24 per year
