The role.
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Metal Finisher - Polisher / Fettler to join our growing workshop team. You'll work across unique marine projects — from fabricated assemblies and deck fittings to precision structural components — where the standard of finish truly matters.
- Bringing fabricated assemblies to a finish that meets engineering tolerances and the exacting aesthetic standards of the marine sector.
- Super mirror Polishing st/st fabrications & Shaping and crafting aluminium weld profiles to specification through the use of a variety of hand held tools.
- Working with marine-grade aluminium & stainless steel and components throughout.
- Collaborating closely with the workshop team to ensure quality standards are met at every stage.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and taking ownership of your own quality control.
- Completing all work safely, efficiently, and to the required specification.
What we're looking for.
- Proven hands-on experience as a Metal Finisher to include Polishing marine grade stainless steel and Fettlng the profile of aluminium welds, this is essential.
- Solid working knowledge of aluminium grinding / Fettling to include super mirror polishing stainless steel finishing techniques.
- Sharp attention to detail and a genuine pride in producing high-quality work.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Friendly calm can do attitude with clear comuniucation skills essential.
Desirable.
- Previous experience in this field of expertise with in marine industry or a similarly precision-focused environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding production targets.
