Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a supportive environment. You will work closely with other care staff to implement care plans and promote the dignity and independence of each individual. This position requires strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional senior care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress and any changes in their condition.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in senior care.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation within the care home environment.
- Assistance in covering in the absence of a team member and helping in cases of sickness , annual leave absence
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to drive is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.
- Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
- A caring attitude towards elderly individuals, promoting their dignity and independence at all times.

Pay: £13.20-£13.40 per hour
