Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.
Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.
Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.
We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.
Working closely with the Service Leader and Support Worker Team, you will support one gentleman with learning disabilities to live his day to day life. He has lived in his own home, with support, for the last 18 years and thrives with caring, patient staff who take the time to get to know him.
He is a quiet man who likes to be really active and he is looking for enthusiastic staff who are happy supporting him with the things he enjoys. Since he loves to get out and about, our ideal candidate would have some knowledgeable of the local area and be happy exploring what it has to offer.
We provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and this is a lone working service, so someone with a support background who is comfortable spending time themselves would be perfect!
Our Shifts:
Mon-Sat: 8am - 8.15am the next day (includes sleepover)
Sun: 8am - 5pm, then 8.45pm - 8am the next day (includes sleepover)
Shift Requirement: Shifts will change from week to week in line with the above pattern - some weekend work and sleepovers are required
Contract: We are currently recruiting for a 16-hour and a 30-hour permanent contract. We can also accommodate flexible bank staff.
UK Driving License Required? Yes
What You'll Be Doing
You’ll be supporting this gentleman in his own home and to live life the way he wants to live it! He enjoys lots of different activities, including volunteering with two outdoor projects, swimming, visiting castles and walking in the countryside, playing pool, BBQs and discos

We hire based on values, welcoming people from all walks of life: seasoned support workers, Care Assistants, Veterans, those with lived experience, or even total newbies with a passion to care.
