Contract Furniture Group is a leading manufacturer of bespoke furniture for the UK's hospitality sector, supplying hotels, restaurants, pubs, leisure venues and commercial interiors nationwide.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Upholsterer to join our skilled production team. If you take pride in producing high-quality furniture and enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
- Friday: 6:00am – 1:00pm
- Permanent, full-time position
What You'll Be Doing
- Upholstering commercial furniture to a consistently high standard.
- Working with fabric, leather and other upholstery materials.
- Measuring, cutting and sewing materials accurately.
- Applying webbing, padding and springs to furniture frames.
- Fitting and finishing upholstered products ready for dispatch.
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure every product meets our high standards.
- Supporting continuous improvement by identifying smarter and more efficient ways of working.
- Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets while maintaining excellent quality.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years' upholstery experience.
- Previous experience within a furniture manufacturing environment.
- Excellent upholstery skills with a strong eye for detail.
- Experience using industrial upholstery equipment and sewing machines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to producing quality workmanship.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
Desirable:
- Cutting experience.
- Piece work or production upholstery experience.
- Experience working with both fabric and leather.
- Knowledge of commercial or hospitality furniture manufacturing.
