We are looking for an Experienced Skilled Operative to join our Landscape & Environment Team and help deliver a varied range of countryside access, environmental construction and estate projects.
The role is ideally suited to someone with proven experience in timber boardwalk construction or carpentry who takes pride in safe, accurate and high-quality work.

Key responsibilities
Timber boardwalk construction - Construct, install, repair and maintain timber boardwalks, bridges, steps, platforms and associated access structures.
Carpentry and site construction - Measure, cut, assemble and install timber components accurately, working from drawings, specifications and site instructions.
Recycled-plastic installations - Assist with the construction and installation of recycled-plastic boardwalks, structures and countryside-access features.
Footpath construction - Construct, improve and repair footpaths using a range of materials and techniques, including associated drainage and edging works where required.
Project work - Install fencing, gates, signage and other access infrastructure; operate tools, plant and equipment safely; and support the wider team in delivering projects efficiently and to a high standard.
Core skills and requirements
- Proven practical experience in timber boardwalk construction, carpentry or a closely related site-based trade;
- Competent in setting out, measuring, cutting, fixing and finishing, with safe use of relevant hand and power tools;
- Experience of recycled-plastic installations and/or footpath construction would be advantageous;
- Able to read and work from drawings, specifications, risk assessments, method statements and site instructions;
- Happy to work outdoors throughout the year, in varying weather conditions and across difficult terrain;
- Reliable and safety-conscious, with good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Essentials:
· Full , clean, valid driving licence.
Based at our Windsor Office near Dorney, with travel to project sites as required.
The Package
- Full time permanent role;
- 20 days annual leave plus public holidays;
- Standard working hours of 07:00 – 16:00;
- Salary up to £27k - £30k.
