Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair heating systems including boilers, radiators, and related components.
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot issues with heating equipment using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out installation and repair tasks efficiently.
- Perform welding and carpentry work as required during installation or repair processes.
- Assist with plumbing tasks related to heating systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Carry out heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of tools, parts, or equipment to various sites.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each job.
- Adhere to health & safety policies at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment.
Skills
- Proven experience in heating system installation and maintenance.
- Proficiency with welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly tasks.
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of HVAC systems.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods.
- Experience with commercial driving is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
