We have an incredible garden and rooms are separated by age, with 3 rooms for the under 2s, and a room for 2 year olds and 3&4 year olds. Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse Level 3 or above to join our team at The Cedars Nursery. This full-time role involves working four 10 hour days days a week on a rota basis (with a half hour unpaid lunch), providing exceptional care and early years education to our children, supporting their growth and development in a vibrant environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and early childhood education to children in accordance with nursery policies.
- Support children's developmental needs through engaging activities both indoors and outdoors.
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children and families.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement educational programs.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities.
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently met.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development.
- Contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the nursery.
- Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or above in Childcare or equivalent qualification (those without full and relevant qualification need not apply).
- Proven experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in childcare.
- Enthusiasm for outdoor learning and innovative educational approaches.
- Valid DBS check on the update service
