Woodcote High School are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and skilled Head of Food and Nutrition to join our team in January 2027 (or earlier). The successful candidate will teach across the full age and ability range, leading the department in designing and resourcing an inspiring curriculum and supporting the growth of outstanding teaching practice – ensuring students both enjoy and excel in the subject.
What does the role involve?
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in securing high-quality teaching and learning, leading curriculum development and supporting colleagues to deliver exceptional outcomes for students. They will be passionate about developing students’ practical skills, creativity, independence and understanding of nutrition, health and food culture, ensuring that all learners are equipped with knowledge and skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
As Head of Department, you will have the opportunity to further strengthen the curriculum, raise achievement and foster a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement. Working alongside a committed and hardworking staff team, you will help ensure that students enjoy their learning, make excellent progress and achieve strong outcomes at both GCSE and A Level
