The Salvation Army Dundee provides accommodation and support to individuals experiencing homelessness and facing multiple and complex needs. We are seeking motivated and compassionate Relief Concierges to join our team on a flexible, as-needed basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable people within their local community.
As a Relief Concierge, you will play a key role in the smooth day to day operation of our service to ensure the centre remains safe, welcoming, and responsive to the needs of residents. You will often be one of the first points of contact for clients, helping to create an atmosphere of dignity, respect, and inclusion.
Key responsibilities:

Knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by homeless and vulnerable clients

The ability to prioritise their own workload

Welcome and engage with residents in a professional, respectful, and supportive manner

Help maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, visitors, and staff

Observe and report any concerns relating to resident welfare, health, safety, or behaviour.

Complete administrative tasks and accurately record information using relevant IT systems.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT systems.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

A compassionate, non-judgemental, and professional approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise their own workload.

The ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in challenging situations.

A commitment to working within a trauma informed and harm reduction framework.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also using initiative when working independently.
