Lead Our Production Team at Cod Beck Blenders

At Cod Beck Blenders, we are a trusted contract manufacturing partner serving the pharmaceutical, agriculture, agrochemical, horticultural and fine chemical industries. We specialise in delivering high-quality own-label products for a diverse customer base.
This is not a production environment where every day looks the same. Our site manufactures a wide range of products across multiple production bays, with regular changeovers and clean-downs between batches. It's a fast-moving, hands-on operation that requires strong leadership, excellent organisation and a passion for delivering results.
We are looking for a Production Lead to oversee our Late Shift (4:10pm - 12:10am) operation, managing approximately 25 colleagues across mixing and packaging teams.
What You'll Be Doing
As Production Lead, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and high-quality running of our manufacturing operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and motivating production teams across mixing and packaging departments
- Ensuring production targets and customer requirements are consistently achieved
- Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, hygiene and GMP compliance
- Supporting, coaching and developing team members to achieve their full potential
- Ensuring employees are trained, assessed and working competently
- Monitoring product quality and ensuring specifications are met
- Managing workflow and resource allocation across the shift
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and site standards
- Using production systems and IT tools to accurately record operational data
- Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a confident leader who thrives in a busy manufacturing environment and enjoys working with people.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, warehouse or process environment
- Experience supervising or leading teams
- Strong communication and people management skills
- Good IT skills, including Outlook and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- A proactive, self-motivated approach
- The ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility and a positive attitude towards changing priorities
- Mechanical awareness and confidence working within a hands-on manufacturing setting
- Strong spoken and written English
