Job Overview
We’re looking for someone who wants to make a difference.
We’re creating a new, centralised Customer Services function across our pallet network, general haulage and wider logistics operation and we need someone experienced enough to lead it.
This isn't a role for someone looking to simply manage an existing process.
We want someone who will take ownership, challenge the status quo and lead change.
Responsibilities
You’ll bring strong transport and logistics customer service experience, fresh ideas and the confidence to make them happen. You’ll lead the team, improve customer service performance, strengthen communication between customers and operations, and ensure issues are properly owned and resolved.
You’ll work closely with Transport, Planning, Warehouse and Commercial teams, using customer and performance information to identify problems, remove unnecessary administration and improve the way we operate.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Knows transport and logistics.
- Has strong customer service and team leadership experience.
- Is commercially aware and understands the cost of poor service.
- Isn't afraid to challenge established ways of working.
- Brings ideas, energy and a genuine desire to improve things.
- Is confident, accountable and gets things done.
