The Lennox Partnership delivers the We Work For Families project across North Ayrshire, supporting parents to overcome barriers and progress towards sustainable employment, education and training.

As an Employment Coordinator, you will work alongside parents, providing tailored one-to-one mentoring, encouragement and practical support to help them build confidence, develop skills and achieve their employment goals.
Using a compassionate, strengths-based approach, you will empower parents to overcome barriers, recognise their potential, and create positive, lasting change for themselves and their families. You will work collaboratively with local employers and partner organisations to identify opportunities and ensure parents receive the right support at the right time.
The role requires someone who is passionate about helping others, able to build trusting relationships, motivated by achieving positive outcomes and comfortable working towards contractual targets and performance expectations.
Main Duties
- Manage a caseload of parents, providing tailored employability support and action planning.
- Build positive relationships, motivating and mentoring parents to overcome barriers to employment.
- Identify employment, training and education opportunities through employer and stakeholder engagement.
- Work with partner organisations to ensure parents receive appropriate specialist support.
- Support parents through every stage of their employment journey, including in-work support where required.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all contractual and quality standards are met.
- Work towards agreed targets and contribute to the success of the WWFF project.
- Follow organisational policies, including Safeguarding, Health & Safety and GDPR.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience in employability, mentoring, advice, or support services is desirable.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- A kind, positive and person-centred approach with a passion for helping others.
- Ability to motivate individuals facing multiple barriers to employment.
- Strong organisational and IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently, manage a caseload and achieve performance targets.
- A full UK Driving Licence is desirable.
Job Type – Full Time - 35 hours per week
Salary - £24, 479 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday ( 3 days office based) - Full time office based during first 2 months of employment
