The Woodshack Limited (t/a Calshot) is a unique shipyard based at James Wharf, Ocean Quay. We are a bespoke restoration and manufacturing business with collaboration and creativity at the heart of every project. We are now looking for a motivated and energetic Site Labourer to join our team to undertake the following:
- Assist with site preparation by clearing debris, organizing materials and setting up safety barriers
- Maintain cleanliness of the worksite by disposing of waste and ensuring pathways are clear
- Support skilled tradespeople by carrying tools, supplies and equipment to designated areas
- Help with loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including wearing appropriate PPE and reporting hazards immediately
- Support the setup of fencing or signage as directed by supervisors
- Dry dock assistance and boat manoeuvres
Person specification
- Previous experience in construction or manual labour roles is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is key
- Ability to react quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels
- Strong awareness of H&S protocol
- Always hardworking and conscientious with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Clean and valid UK driving licence is desired
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
