We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated HCA to join our Nursing Team!
Previous experience and clinical skills are desirable, especially in Phlebotomy. All training for additional skills will be offered to appropriate candidate.
The position is for up to 25 hours per week and you would be based at The Arnewood Practice. Flexibility to cover sickness and holiday is essential, and cross-site working may be necessary.
Coastal Medical Partnership is a forward thinking, newly merged group of GP Practices based across 4 sites in New Milton & Lymington. Combining three successful Partnerships at The Arnewood Practice, New Milton Health Centre and Barton Webb-Peploe, we now have 21 GP Partners leading a clinical and non-clinical team looking after 34,000 patients.
Responsibilities
New patient health checks
ECG recording
Phlebotomy
Spirometry
Urinalysis
Dressings, wound/ leg ulcer care
Administration of appropriate injections and vaccinations
Any other clinical procedures or assessments as deemed appropriate and adequately trained
Chaperoning duties
Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses
Cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment
Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations
Requirements
- Previous experience working in General Practice
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and using healthcare software
- A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care
